Prop Rule Clarification
01-27-2009

For those of you planning to add props to your show, please read the following pulled from the 2009 WGI Handbook.

Rule 4.7 on page 77 of 2009 WGI Colorguard Handbook

All props must be able to fit through a standard size (36") single door. No timing exceptions will be made for oversized props. Props will not be allowed in the competition area before the color guard's performance time.

As always, if a show site allows us to remove the bars in doorways which will widen them, we will. But please understand that if we can't, you still must be able to fit through. While this is not stated in the percussion manual, please build your props (if any) accordingly. We will have doors as wide as we can make them, but some locations may have different door sizes and this is out of our control. We do not want a delay in the show due to extra large props/equipment.

Take a few minutes on your own to review rules and procedures in your WGI Handbooks. It is your responsibility to make sure that your unit it not penalized for something that is stated in the handbook already.
