CWEA Percussion Training Day
11-10-2009

The CWEA Percussion Training Day will be held on Saturday, December 5 at South Pointe High School in Rock Hill, SC from 1 to 5:30pm in the Band Room.

The event will be offered to CWEA percussion students, unit directors, instructors as well as current and prospective judges at no charge.

We are pleased to announce that the facilitator for this training event will be Jody Dunwoody from Gulfport, Mississippi. Mr. Dunwoody will discuss show design and concepts, understanding unit classification, the WGI scoring sheets, rehearsal techniques and much more. His list of accomplishments are listed below.

NOTE - Although the Percussion Training Day will be on December 5, all Percussion Directors/Instructors will need to be in attendance for the November 21 Fall Meeting with the Body to vote on rules/by-laws, the future of the CWEA as an independent circuit and being part of the first drawing for those units who have paid by this date.

Jody Dunwoody has been a percussion instructor, designer and adjudicator for over 17 years. He has taught at numerous high schools and colleges throughout the southeastern United States including the WGI World Finalist Tate HS from Pensacola, Florida as well as Madison Central HS from Madison, Mississippi.
